Fairly sunny at the moment though plenty of cumulus has started blowing up out of nowhere in the last 10 minutes and i know the drill, by 11am it will be at least 80% cloudcover on days like today...

To my surprise I'm getting yet another day of sunshine and showers and some fairly vigorous convection (though not as intense as earlier when there were 3 days with hail and thunder). At Cleadon, there is a sea breeze but the clouds are moving from NW to SE (following the upper airflow) and thus we're still getting some showers. Despite the breeze off the sea it's got up to 18.7C so far.

Edit: there might even be a chance of thunder later on as some Cb cells to my north and west are starting to produce sferics. I expected a dry day with showers restricted to inland areas and possible low cloud off the North Sea, not this!

It's a beautiful summer day with long sunny periods and scattered Cumulus, 22.6c at present with a gentle breeze and humdiity at 58%.

One surprising aspect today was a very foggy period between around 06.30 - 07.30 which was as dense to drive in as you would usually expect

at times in the autumn and winter!

A dry and mainly clear night last night and a sunny start to this morning. A sheet of broken Scu spread in from the north west by 0600 g.m.t but this moved away by mid-morning and the rest of the day was dry with lengthy spells of sunshine and 3-6 oktas Cu. By early evening there was a veil of Cst to the west making any evening sunshine very weak.

A sunny start to the day, but from lunchtime onwards, there was increasing (largely high) cloud from the South West, though it remained bright with some sunny spells. However the cloud continued to build late afternoon and early evening to a point with full cloud cover, Fairly warm generally, it has turned a little cooler in the cloud cover this evening, Max temps around 20c.

Cleadon ended up with a couple of distant rumbles of thunder just before 2pm and a sharp shower, then the showers became increasingly restricted to inland areas as the winds at cloud level swung around to the north and the north-easterly winds at the surface intensified. Currently 15.5C, down from a high of 18.7, with a chilly north-easter, but it's still sunny for now.

I am expecting the next two days to be somewhat cooler and probably cloudier though.
