So today looks a mix between sunny intervals, cloud and heavy showers and quite cool, It would be on the weekend though wouldn't it.

There were clear spells for a time last night, though it turned cloudy soon after midnight, staying dry. The morning so far has been overcast and dry. Overcast conditions remained through the morning with the odd spot of rain. Around noon the cloud began to break allowing sunny spells, feeling warm for a time, before more cloud bubbled up by mid to late afternoon with moderate to heavy showers breaking out across the area. The showers continued in to the evening, turning much cooler.

Currently about 17C in mid-Somerset. Spots of rain but no major showers as yet but threatening to west. Polarising from grey matt of cloud to broken with growing patches of blue with sun close to appearing between heavy showers. Hopeful of a storm later - fingers crossed!:unsure:

Brightened up nicely with a 2hr window of sunny weather mid afternoon, but a long spells of rain has left puddles everywhere. Temp maxed at 17c, but Car Thermometer recently only 12c, and in the wind, not the warmest of summer days.

One or 2 flashes of lightning as well.

Very pleased to announce two seperate thunderstorm cells passed over nearby so althouth no lightening seen, we had several good rumbles of thunder. This has made up for pitifully cool afternoon for August. 7.30 p.m. only 12 degrees.

Fine dry start, a couple of light showers early afternoon and a torrential thunderstorm exactly when the BBC web site said it would happen at 1600 . Feeling much fresher after the storm. Currently partly cloudy, 13.2 deg C, wind moderate SW. Today's maximum 19.7, last night's minimum 12.0.

A couple of short light-moderate showers around 1515 g.m.t and then the heaviest shower of the day between 1730 and 1820 which gave us around 4mm in 10 minutes.
