A dry day until 15:00 when there was a there was an odd spot of rain in the wind. Heavier showers after 16:30 before they began dying out by 18:30

So much better than forecast but once again little in the way of rain.

Already had over 20mm of rain today, and looks like we're only half way through.

The band was no where near as organised as forecast, and as a result we have had a top temperature today of 20.3C, and that was this morning. The rain started at about 12:30pm, only light, but since got heavier, and as a result the temperature has been steadily dropping. It's currently 15.8C out there.

At one point the winds were well over 30mph, that seems to have died down for now though.

Intermittent light rain and drizzle this morning and a few sunny intervals, feeling warm by late morning despite the SW wind increasing to f6-7. A dry start to the afternoon but moderate rain arrived by 1300 and continued, intermittently for the rest of the period. The wind decreased for a time as the rain arrived but has since increased again, veering W.

Very similar to yesterday with a change of wind direction. Dry, breezy and quite pleasant with sunny periods, becoming cloudier by late afternoon. Maximum 22.4, minimum 10.4. Wind moderate SW.

Mild and rather muggy day not a great deal of sun but quite bright until late afternoon, remaining warm until evening at about 20/21C.

Curiously I'm less fixated about the weather than other things at present!

We were still managing to avoid most of the rain here in Oldham and was actually sunny up until this morning. As for today, cool, cloudy and a little bit of drizzle here and there. Not exactly typical washout weather. Would still rather have snow than drizzle any day of the year

What a horrid day. Heavy rain throughout with very little respite. What really took the biscuit however was the strength of the wind, which was enough to ruin my umbrella and force me into buying a new one. In fact, there were several umbrellas in bins while I was out today.

This would have been a poor day in November never mind August.
