Had a few rumbles of thunder here just now. Almost signs of rotation too... There has been loads of convection occuring here all day, so hopefully more to come. Will post up some pics in a bit 8)

There was some cool looking convection here earlier as well, though it seems to have stopped now.

Just small cumulus.

But I am keeping an eye on it.

As it is looking like something more could build as the day progresses.

I'm pretty amazed, today has been one of the most convective days here in a couple of years. Some of the towers this lunchtime were enormous and the speed that storm developed was pretty amazing. Its moving northeast so I imagine somewhere in surrey may see something spectacular from it. I also expect I may catch something more as the afternoon/evening wears on..

Tim Radar is quite colourful for our area, check the ribble valley site out on my signiture for that image, its been dry all day here though, presume the same for you, must be just missing out as usual.

Massive area of clouds stretching right from my north-west to my north-east.

Big CB type clouds.

But nothing to the south or over me.

Perhaps there is an outflow.

Yep, can see stuff to the north on my webcam http://www.burnley27.fsnet.co.uk and the radar on the ribble website puts rain directly north of me, but that cloud seems too far away that what the radar is showing, looks like west yorkshire are having a few downpours but as of today here, no rain at all.

Hi

i took these pictures on the 30th May from Middle Wallop Airfield near Andover at a Kite & Buggy Festi i was at!.

This storm passed to the east i dont know if it produced lightning later, it did not as it passed us.

It did produce a strange rainbow affect as it was early evening, i took the photo of the rainbow as this storm passed us, i then took a photo of the cloud as the weather cleared behind.

It was the only cloud of this type in the sky at the time.

Cheers :D

Craig.

:D Stunning pics Creature(uk).

You should upload them into the gallery via the home page. I took some photos that are in the gallery of a very similar looking storm cloud to my northeast over Wiltshire on Sunday evening :!:
