Whitstable 4" by the beach more inland and towards Canterbury... Solid snow, some drifting from the wind last night. Sea frozen and lots of ice, watching three guys trying to fish through the ice... :D rather funny the weights crash through!

Just been out with a ruler, 5.5inches here, very surprised! Now, lets hope it sticks around!

No idea how much we got here in Croydon, somewhere between 5 and 10 cm's I guess however it is already melting :(

Still the kids were all out in it at 1 am when it was much drier (drier snow type, it's wet now).

Here's hoping this is just the beginning :)

Well my journey home took me almost 1hr 25 minutes, and had to be on 3 buses one to Penge, then one curtailed to Duwlich Libary then I had to run after a 12 Bus, as it pulled off... I was faster than it and I waved at him but he didn't pull over, he opened his doors and said 'Did you want this bus?' My reply 'Well dur' lool

Sounds good..if its icy it will help towards the ppn being snow, just need all the other factors to fall in place :cold:

Next 48 hours are crucial, I am confident like Paul has said on here that the easterly will block and that we will get a feed from the east, I believe that Kent will stay cold and we will be ok.

Soon be able to walk across to Sheppy lol

Well thats not been done since 1947... so always up for some ice fishing! :D

Right, off for a hot choc drink and bacon sandwich following a good two hours of snow and uploading my images to facebook.

Morning all. Taken several measurements on undrifted hard surfaces and the average depth is 13cm or 5'' here in Southend. Not bad at all.

Starting to rain very slightly here now, I don't imagine four inches will last long if this continues!

I agree thicker than we had last time here and the drifting make it look deeper
