A cold, wet and very windy day with a north easterly gale until mid-afternoon. The rain was mostly light-moderate but with some short spells of heavy rain late afternoon, the temperature was between 2.5c and 3.5c for most of the day but rose to 5c once the rain area had cleared early this evening. Fog developed after 1615 g.m.t and became thick by 1630.
