I live 2 miles from Bicester and missed it !!, as I was in Manchester on business. Seems to have been well recorded as it crossed the heaviliy used A34

There is a much better video of it somewhere, shown today

I saved all the netweather radar images from this supercell and put them into a video...

This covers 6 hours from 12:20 to 18:20

I must say, I'm surprised this hasn't been given a lot more attention on here. It's not the best supercell to have ever graced the planet, but it's still the rare occurance of a clear rotating thunderstorm in the UK. It really is not often we get the sort of conditions that yesterday had, even less so that they actually come together to produce a supercell.

Credit where it is most certainly due to the people who got their camera and recorded it- especially to the one who was standing directly beneath the funnel.

I am surprised to but I guess many forumites are into hibernation until 15th Oct 2012 when is that snow in T384 showing.

    Hi all.

Here's an image of that storm while it was just east of Swindon. Caught my eye as there was allready a wall cloud attached (the left hand side of it just visible before the trees on the right) - the second time I've not chased a developing supercell when I should have!!

    Cheers, Sam
