Indeed, having been outside, it has actually felt very mild. Would even go as far as saying that even with the rain that occured yesteray, it didn't really feel all that cold (although still maybe a little on the cool side).

Temperature now up to 16.1*C, though perhaps with a small risk of thundery showers/storms later.

After a wet night today is dry with a lot of cloud and the odd sunny spell.

It feels lovely and humid though so for once it doesn't feel cold despite the howling wind. Even got the windows open!

Max of 19.7c so far - will we finally beat the max year set in March?

There has been a very heavy shower in the last half an hour which has lowered the temperature to 13.8c after it was 15.1c earlier.

Impressive. Looks like you might just beat it with the amount of daylight there's still to go. (as longs I suppose there's no rain/showers or anything). :)

In fact, looking through the thread, there does seem to be some huge temperature contrasts at the moment.

At a more local scale than that at 3pm Bingley reported 16.7c compared to 10.8c in Bradford and 9c at Leeds/Bradford airport which are 5 and 7 miles away respectively. Some interesting interactions adjacent to the frontal boundary.

Yet another disgustingly cold, dull, wet and horrible day. Drizzly rain on and off the whole day, north easterly winds and a max of 7.8C.

Rain total only 3.6mm so far. There has not been one daily rain total worthy of note since this relentless unsettled spell began 6 weeks ago just day after day of leaden skies and light rain/showers.

Current outdoor temp just 5.7C while indoor temperature was just 14.9C when I got homecold.gif
