Showery rain cleared around midnight and the sky cleared through the early hours to make for a fine and sunny start. Cloud increased through the morning to observation when there were just bright spells. The morning was cloudy, by early afternoon light showers broke out and continued until mid afternoon when a clearance arrived allowing sunny spells, very breezy. The evening turned cloudy once again.

Thoroughly miserable and dull with Stratocumulus sitting on the hills, persistent drizzle/light rain and some heavier bursts at times.

15mm so far today, had some heavy bursts locally this morning, and it's piddling down again. Temp at 14.7°C

It's 3:15pm on the 2nd July, yet the conditions outside are:

14.9C, 98% humidity, dull, low cloud and drizzle, zero sunshine today, and a nuisance amount of rain of 2.0mm

Another October like day, I guess we're in November now though as June was just a mild October.. or felt like it most of the time. Thankfully I happen to be going to Holland for a week where it looks like being up to 10 degrees warmer than where I live in the first few days. Hopefully there will be a slightly better outlook when I get back.

Steady light rain until lunchtime after which it cleared up but low dark cloud predominated on the coast and inland in Somerset. Vague hints of a little sun lasting the odd second or two but still dark and ghastly here. Currently about 13C. Here is a picture of Burnham-on-Sea looking beautiful today.
