I went on a mini chase around Queensbury as I saw a storm heading across from Lancashire with multiple sferics. When it got here it had been broken down but still was enough to be classified as a small storm with a couple of flashes and rumbles. This was around 1pm (ish). It was nothing special though and I can see the best action is south of here now.

still rumbling away here and skies are getting increasingly overcast, but indications are that activity is beginning to die down here, at least for now

Guildford: First thunder heard 1445.

Dark threatening sky to west & N.W. with increasing thunder - quite loud in last 10 minutes - 19 rumbles so far and 1 CG lightning to west at 1515. No rain yet.

Lovely loud bang at 1524.

Best thunder of 2012 so far and most intense part hasn't got here yet - getting excited!

Two storms battling it out here now,one to my north and one to my east. Both giving brilliant deep rolling rumbles of thunder though i'm yet to see any lightning. The sky is quite bright here with only light rain. Both are moving to the NE of me but skies continue to darken to the south so looks like more to come.

Indeed, it'll be close though..will at least see them and hear them...although to be fair, that's already happening with the Ludlow one.

and radar showing it continues to increase in velocity, and remains stuck over that area like someone has used superglue to hold it there :)

Quietning down here with only occasional rumbles now. No rain though despite skies remaining overcast.
