Not actually 100% sure it's going to arrive yet, but we'll keep an eye on it and I'm sure someone in here will have an update as the weekend moves on. I guess it will throw it's toys out of the pram at some point if it is born!

I've put a few together back a few posts Mark, but it is looking like a very wet Sunday, however the latest GFS has the most intense rain further North of our area:

No MetO warnings yet

Subject to change on subsequent runs of course and it's only GFS at this stage, but MetO have currently for Sunday:

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Saturday mainly fine, although southern areas probably becoming cloudier later. Northern UK fine again Sunday, however southern parts turning wet and windy later. Wet and windy for most on Monday.

I wonder if this means we'll get strong winds here then?

Looks to me that there will be some high winds associated with this low coming up, so could get very gusty and windy. Gale force on the coast though and out in the channel?

Looks like gusty, not particularity high sustained. We'll know more tomorrow when the hi-res charts start coming into range but there looks like a strong onshore breeze and gusts up to force 7?

Interesting. They've gone for a low probability / high impact scenario at the moment. Must be a nightmare to forecast, as it relies on a tropical storm's movements.

Who would have thought Bedfordshire could produce something so exotic, but then I'm guessing Salvatore Genovese is not native to these parts angel.gif

Yellow Alert of Rain for London & South East England :

Bracknell Forest, Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, Greater London, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Medway, Portsmouth, Southampton, Surrey, West Berkshire, West Sussex, Wokingham, Windsor and Maidenhead & Reading

Issued at: 1233 on Thu 20 Sep 2012

Valid from: 0000 on Sun 23 Sep 2012

Valid to: 2359 on Sun 23 Sep 2012

There is a risk that wet and windy weather will spread north from the Bay of Biscay on Sunday to some southern areas. However there is a large amount of uncertainty at present such that it is possible that the rain may not reach our shores at all. The public should be aware of this risk and keep up to date with our forecasts as we approach the weekend.

i've not tried that chilli but been growing some as usual this year....3 plants and wow they are soooo strong i simply can't eat them. Took some to my local indian restaurant and the manager put the whole thing in his mouth and went bright red, eyes watering etc....i can't even give them away!

Something I must do next year. I've known a couple of people who've done this and produced some surprisingly hot chillies.

What sort of chillies are they? I reckon they'll be a good ingredient for some dish.

The heatwave is over in my office. Fan off again, but the heat was good while it lasted!
