    a misty mostly cloudy start, some St around although much of the cloud looks like upper cloud; its foggy at the airport with 250m about 3 miles away with extensive St. A low of 7.3C and no wind

    A very hazy start to the day with a lot of thin high cloud. Dry though with a light SE flow with 8C the current high.

    Light showers yesterday evening, clearing by midnight. Fog developed during the early hours but in the last half hour this has cleared above 280m but remains thick below that level.

    It became foggy for about half an hour but is clearing again with most of the St also clearing showing upper cloud over the top, looks like AcAs at a quick glance with the sun trying to break through.

    A dull Autumn day with mist and fog this morning which took until just after Noon to clear, but only lifted into cloud. A bit of weak patchy sunshine mid afternoon but now it's relentlessly overcast.

    This afternoon saw a high temperature of 11.00c at 4:30pm but it's dropped off a little since then.

    Almost no wind - in fact my anemometer stopped rotating at 5am and didn't turn again until 10am.

    Current Conditions in North East Staffs:

    Humidity 89%

    Breeze 1-2mph from anywhere between 0 degrees (N) and 85 degrees (E).

    A few sunny intervals around mid-morning but generally a cloudy day. The thick fog early this morning became patchy after 0830 g.m.t but persisted until late morning; the sky/cloud was always visible above it though. The afternoon was dry, almost calm, and cloudy with As and Ac slowly thickening.
