Snow has now stopped here, but gave a nice wee covering of a couple of cm's which I wasn't expecting. rolleyes.gif

Wow, excellent cover down your way. From what I can understand of the model outlook then that aint going to shift quickly for the foreseeable.

Another wee shower just passed through here, nothing major....yet! Radar shots to the north show the showers increasing in intensity, still a bit sparse in number but MetO forecast for later tonight and tomorrow is encouraging!

I think it will probably melt on Thursday if the band of precip doesn't remain as snow smile.png

Here's another, only a few cm's at most but nice to see!

peterhead/huntly/keith looks to be getting a pasting some of those deceptively little blobs that gave us further 1-2cms are echoing blue/purple on the radar!

now can anyone remind me of the best IR/animation site have got a new laptop and haven't yet got all me bookmarks installed.. these pepper pot type showers can sometimes give us a big accumulation if they hit right.. GL Aberdeen :)

Snow has persisted here since Friday, albeit a bit slushy and messy at times. Drove home through a heavy showers which has covered everything nicely again. Plus I'm looking at those showers to our north with anticipation! :)

Just drove thru some seriously big hail - wintracs getting a good test on this stuff. Still after some AT tyres that are good on compacted icy snow...

Anyone give me a forecast for the north coast tomorrrow?

That's ok - I turned my PC upside down just to view them.

Nae need; snaw looks guid upside doon, inside oot, wrang way roond, whitever; jist braw fae every perspective.

Seems the band largely broke over the lammermuirs so just light stuff here, can't complain; still snaw on snaw.

Lovely! Got it on now. Wonder if game would be abandoned if it keeps going

It looked like it should of been but eased off a bit...some great sliding tackles :) I can barely see the orange ball either but that may just be my colourblindness!!

Was up in Westhill today - surprised by the cover just a couple of miles up the road from my house!

Phew, I have overdone my posting quota for the month, off for a lie down.

Another shower passing through - looks like a heavier one this time...

Don't normally venture in this "room" as I've sneeked in from "da sarf" pleasantry.gif

Need some speculative FI forecast/guessing.

How are your prospects up there looking for Mon-Fri next week?? Having a bit of a getaway (snow/cold chasing fool.gif )

Going to haul up for 4 days near Fort William. Looking at the model threads, there seems to be some reasonable prospects for some, but what are you guys looking at next week?? Very cold, snow prospects??

I see you are maybe in for a possible snowstorm/fall on friday, just wondering how you think the next week after that will pan out in the Western Highlands??

Matt

The difference between westhill and hazlehead can be quite huge sometimes! Being on a pretty isolated hill probably helps! :p

thanks bigyin, sat24 was the one i was looking for drinks.gif

am in Kemnay, with a wee bit of height, which I had to walk up tonight already, as car stuck - the slushy mess of the road that was, froze very quickly between 4-6pm then it started snowing again just after 6.. as is now snowing again as I type smile.png

the untouched level - on the dog house roof is 6cm though it would have a minor thaw/melt over the last 2 days - it's probably deeper on grass but am nae going out there to measure it smile.png

Snow showers about to land in aberdeenshire!

S

It has been coming down (and settling) nicely for a few minutes Steve. These setups suit us well. There could be a few more to come over the next few hours if the satellite imagery is to be believed.
