Another MO snow lying day under the belt! Starting off here as sleet, above 3C though so doesn't look like lying at present.

Good morning! Well so far in Kemnay/Dyce it's been a non-event and unscientifically it just doesn't feel like it's going to snow. Feels just a little too mild and damp and the existing snow seems to have softned up since last night. Maybe the best I can hope for is for it not to rain too much and to at least retain the current snowpack.

I thought the beeb were pretty conflicted to be honest, they continually showed snow across Glasgow even when the MO forecast showed it as rain. It was always marginal looking, we just got the raw end of the deal in this instance sadly.

There is a small chance that there could be snow later today with the next batch of showers after this mush. At least the ski centres are getting plastered. I am heading for Glencoe Sunday for top to bottom skiing 2800ft vertical! acute.gif

Might not be the snow event as expected (Was perhaps marginal) but it is very very cold indeed! (And still very slippy)!

Sleety light snaw starting at soutra as I came N.

Higher stretches of Edinburgh Bypass were heavy wet sleet @3 C; looked to be snow higher up in the pentlands.

Cauld, miserable rain here near Ed. Airport.

Nice dry morning here but with significant windchill from a strong southerly wind, currently 1.8c. Cattle all lying down this morning when I went to feed them on really dry straw which has been undercover since harvest .They know exactlly what the weather is like outside but there is no mud ,wonderful!
