don't worry, it'll be the second band that will drag the colder uppers in and allow snow, it's too early in the night atm to worry :-)

snow wise 2010 wasnt nothing compare to 87-90-91 and as some1 said earlyer on we still paying the price for it. I dont think we here in brum will c any snow tonight or the next few days it will just be the usial places that sees snow, sow its no point getting my hopes up.

Dont worry im not its still very early in the season. And signals look very good at the moment for a good winter coldwise.

I think the precipitation (whatever it is) Should be here within the next couple of hours, but the fronts aren't yet occluded over the middle Midlands and once they are, that's when the precip' will get heavier and has a better chance of becoming snow.

So, I'd guess at between 1am-5am, but don't quote me on that lol! rofl.gif

V V quick comment re snow tonight - tomorrow AM. New output from UKV, MOGREPS, NAE and EC offering varied solution(s) and huge uncertainty now in areal scope and amounts - i.e., SE / Home Counties / London area / SE could see more in some new progs (2cm or more in places) whereas other solutions in the suite suggest more focus to NW of London (Chilterns, over to Cotswolds etc). MOGREPS more widespread across fair swathe of central-S England. Signal now hinting towards a more easterly bias generally, away from W Country other than E Glos / N Wilts, but this detail not to be trusted. Hence much, much to play for. A nightmare forecast frankly. Anyway, gotta dash

Also reports of snow now in Leeds. Could be interesting evening/morning

Metoffice radar looks to have showers on few miles away for me now those in stoke or cannock must be having something wet? Frosty here now, but from the radar the rain band seems to be breaking

It seems the rain showers are dying away. Are they meant to get heavier later on?
