Moderate-heavy rain throughout yesterday evening and until well into the early hours, the rain then becoming lighter but continuing until observation time and resulting in the wettest day of the year so far. Thick fog throughout the evening, clearing around midnight.

Staying cloudy through the morning though dry, the cloud thickened through the afternoon with outbreaks of light rain arriving by 14:30 GMT. The rain continued in to the evening turning moderate to heavy.

Remarkably clear and sunny after the heavy rain overnight. Just 1 ot 2 oktas Cu and Ac for the last 3 hours or so, most of it towards the south western horizon. Don't know the exact temperature as I'm at work but it feels chilly in the f4-5 W wind

Keeping fingers crossed here as heavy rain seems to be passing further north than initially thought (by looking at radar), but some still to come. We don't need any more here. As for Cornwall................

A sunny late morning after the clearance of the overnight rain, the sunshine lasting until mid-afternoon before increasing high and medium level cloud obscured it and gave a cloudy end to the day. A few spots of light rain in the last half hour.

Rain at times and a fresh to strong WNW wind to 0400 last night. Clear spells with a ground frost later.

Sunny intervals and then a few light showers to early afternoon. Cloudy from mid afternoon, spells of showery rain, some very heavy downpours since 1500. Milder, moderate SE breeze pm.
