About a half hour ago I noticed that some of that white stuff was coming down, light to moderate but not settling, still falling as sleet, not so heavy, temp dropped from 2.5C to 2.2C, now rising a tad to 2.3C.

Continuous light-moderate wet snow throughout yesterday evening, the snow becoming intermittent after midnight and followed by a few snow showers earlier this morning. With the temperature above 0c throughout the night the snow was thawing as fast as it was accumulating and the depth changed little from early evening.

During the early morning the lying snow froze and untreated roads are a sheet of ice.

    Currently cold and sunny.

Blog looking at the prospects of dry and settled conditions developing from Sunday persisting into Easter Weekend. Warm in the sun by day, but nights could be cold with a risk of frost, easterly wind may make eastern areas chilly. The long weekend may end with rain in the west. View the full blog here
