The panic some people suffer from is just absolutely bonkers it seems, this is one run, there's no point reacting yet like many have.

I agree, think a lot of peeps on here are getting too worked up......now all together, deep breath in through the nose....and out through the mouth clap.gif

Lets wait and see what happens, as what will be will be...we can't influence or change it by going nuts, jumping off cliffs or having digs at each other in here, (difficult as that is when we are expecting a good event and it dsent seem to be panning out the way we want)...why do we do it to ourselves eh! blink.pngpardon.gif

Lets see what mother nature brings.....and hope she's in a good mood Monday! cold.gifcold.gifcold.gif

Hi everyone. I don't post here too often but think it's encouraging/uplifting (for Londoners at least) that the MetO website was showing sleet for London for Monday afternoon and this has now switched back to snow, heavy for a time in the evenig. Temps also a degree suppressed, so to speak.

Right here's perhaps a tricky question...

Is Bedfordshire part of the Midlands or the London home counties?

I've a feeling that many here will be up into the wee small hours of Tuesday morning, signals from the GFS for 5-15cm of snow from what I can see

Don't understand how some can say we're going to get dumped on like it was fact, as seriously it's just a guess. Also some suggesting a mild outcome by Tuesday is also just a guess.

I'm fairly old, I have seen so many snow forecasts go wrong, got myself so excited (yep I'm a cold and snow freak!!) and woken up very disappointed.

Likewise, a damp squib of a forecast has had the room very bright the next morning, as a pull of the curtains revealed a white wonderland.

This country is so hard to predict (with any accuracy) where and when snow is going to fall (many online guides about the very subject) it's just a matter of WAIT & SEE.

So could some people stop over stating it's nailed or we're going to be knee deep as it's about as accurate as forecasting next Springs Grand National winner.

And don't forget if you take a step back, after argueing about snow, then speak to a non weather geek neighbour and explain you "needed to get out and get some fresh air as you've been rowing with people", then the neighbour says "Oh no....what about" and you say "snow" then don't be surprised at the expression on thier face!!

It's not begun, nor has the fat lady sang. smiliz39.gif

I have a plan I suggest we all open up our freezers and drag them outside.

Temp is increasing now after dropping down earlier 3.3 with dewpoint 2.0

Have broken a record today with my rainfall total though 15.3 and counting clapping.gif

If you don't mind me asking where are you? And unfortunately until Tuesday onwards I can only see rain if you're from brighton, we get stuck in the warm sector. Still change of course

You need a conservatory roof or car windscreen, Tamara, and you will see that this is no ordinary rain. No, it is sleety rain!

Lol @ the SE Radar

Been down all day and then "Boom"

Nice to see the front did indeed reach South Essex in the end, even though it is rain! Starting to pivot now so hope some undercutting can happen, although not holding my breath!

Wowee, where did that come from and, more importantly, where is it heading?
