i think u have just nailed it no-one can confirm up until it happens with snow

Have got big old fluffy flakes falling in ramsgate now , and a good covering in the garden .nothing measurable at this point but cover all the same , and its settling temprature at mo is 0.1c,black sky full of snow, looking at rain today there are some real beefy showers wth east kent written all over them..

3rd morning this week that ive woken to snow, but apart from monday morning nothing significant , wold be nice to get the 5-10cm tomorow and hope that it doesent melt on sat..

Charts have gone a bit off for Medwa but still seeing snow forecasts everywhere.

Actually its a slightly better situation as they are now saying it wont start till 9, giving me time to get home from work.

South East England 90% Low temperatures and icy conditions throughout the period. Snow accumulations expected on Friday with further snow showers on Saturday. Strong winds at times will make it feel bitterly cold.

Last night it was suicidal on here! Now everyones smiling again!

There was one bad run but there have now been 5 at least within 48 hours agreeing with the snow for Kent.

It is almost on.

Although an upgrade do we believe the Cruddiest Nearscale Mesoscale Model that is hopeless and just puts out pretty pink charts - Erm no actually!

If it shows on the ECM Or Ukmo then i think we will take note!

'if it's not snowing where you are now, it will be soon.' Woke up expecting a pasting but got nothing.

Lol, I thought that was Dec 2012 and last weekend!

Not wishing to put the mockers on tomorrow's snow which I'm sure will cover us all, albeit lighter than we'd like.

Why do you say that, what evidence do you bring to that assumption?

HOW MUCH SNOW DO YOU WANT???!!!!

Not wishing to put the mockers on tomorrow's snow which I'm sure will cover us all, albeit lighter than we'd like, can anyone remember the year when frontal snow was forecast and nailed on but never arrived in SE London eastwards. Think it might have been Jan 1996?

Remember the Radio 4 evening forecast stating that 'if it's not snowing where you are now, it will be soon.' Woke up expecting a pasting but got nothing.

yep.. actually watched the cloud cover over us and i do believe that it got 2 miles from me then retreated. think i may of saw 2 snow grains from that event!!

Decent pulse between 9pm-3am for the SE Fri into Sat.

5-7cm seems the mark widely by midday Sat according to GFS.

Light snow shower here for the past 15 minutes, already have a dusting as surfaces so cold. Certainly wasn't in any forecasts I've seen!

Im afraid its looking like a Huge Downgrade!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ the latest on the mets website is now showing snow to never reach us and faze out... and saturday cold and dry. unless they are just still uncertain to affected areas still?? and covering their backsides??

I'm not sure what forecast you are looking at - have just checked the forecast for Lewisham in SE London, not far from you, and it is showing a mixture of light snow and even heavy snow right through Friday afternoon and into Saturday... Which is an upgrade from yesterday.
