Yes, but there isn't much winter left now , so I can understand folk being a bit peeved..

There's 5 wks left , then march which can be a very snowy month, we are just over half way. Unbelievable some comments I read year after year

Its kind of like a warmer pool of air bringing in the cold air, could be a good sign for you.

Yeah, up to 2inch up to now, coming down heavier than ever with atleast another 3 hrs left

How far u from swinton mate? I was at todmorden today and it seemed ok compared to the stuff we got here in Durham last week. We still have to walk on the main roads as theres nearly 2ft of snow on the paths haha. Looks like you lot are getting it worse than us today.

I am at the lowest part though, elevation varies from 600ft to 1200ft though, definately flakes coming down now again, we still have had an accumulation but it definately turned sleety and there was a period when i could not see anything lamposting, now it could have been jack and not rain but given the orange was over me on the radar then very strange, slowed right down again now.

Well things have improved, the snow is pushing the rain back west listening to reports.

Definitely snow here at 210m asl, even though it sounds like there's graupels mixed in with the stuff. Buxton reporting 4ft drifts is believable having gone over the A5004 (long hill) earlier this afternoon before the snows came. Something in the order of 2 inches evident on the rooftops here.

Well I'm in chapel this evening so half way to Buxton certainly not two inches here, although it’s coming down fairly well.
