Still running the same ridiculous graphics, the 1 hour jump between the last actual radar and the forecast is laughable

Exactly....the graphics on this are totally different to the ones being run with Peter Gibbs on News 24 which shows a rain to snow, then back to rain event for anywhere south of London. It's ridiculous how they can't get their graphics at least to match!!

A night of lampost watching beckons... get the hot choc and winter warmers ready, but alas... It will turn to rain, so make the most of it while it's falling (IF it does)

The ppn out to the West is really building now, very heavy echoes showing over North Wales and NW England right now.

I don't like how quickly the warm air is pushing in from the SW... Portsmouth currently recording 5.1ºc now!

It all still looks like it is heading NE to me.

What are we looking for?

The stuff over the West country/Wales?

just arrived in Brighton for the weekend - car temperature rose from 1c in Reigate to 3.5c here. Feels blinkin' freezing though due to the wind, and coming in to the flat when no-one's been here the last couple of weeks was pretty bracing!

Looks like we might have had a chance of some slushy stuff back in the North Downs but fully expect rain here.

The stuff in the Bristol Channel, which should start building as it heads inland, but the areas of heaviest ppn are still in question.

Fire rawing coffee in hand and curtains open for lamppost watching hope it's worth the wait smile.png

Sounds perfect! I am going to be using you as my warning system, so do keep me updated. wink.png

There's a new BBC London presenter; Elizabeth Rizzini, who is everything I hate about modern-day weather presenters. Pretty but with no personality, gives the most simplistic forecast possible without any real detail, and says things like 'at least' there won't be too much snow in London etc etc. It really bugs me the way modern forecasts are so dumbed down, presented by good-looking dullards who tell us that rain = bad, sun = yay! I want Rob McElwee back. Anyway, that's my slightly odd rant out of the way.
