Update to Croydon Council..........

First band of light ppn which will fall as snow = now

Second band to approach Croydon approx 20:00 - 21:00 hrs +/- This will be moderate snowfall for a time into the early hours cold.gifclap.gif

The under cut of very cold air has dropped a lot more..........I'm sure I read this in one of the previous posts which also had a diagram. Bravo who did post the chart as you are spot on. MetO might bid very high for that graph laugh.png

Yankin, how you managed to be able to expect snow and not here? No fair

Yes !!

Upgrade 6 hours of snow

Well there are showers beginning to form in Dorset and look to be following the A303 towards London, with ppn in the Bristol Channel also building, so we just need that to go along the M4!! wink.png

I hope you get your heating fixed soon, why do boilers always break down when you need them, wouldn't matter so much during a mild spell.

M4 Streamer...very well known...runs along the line of the M4 snow all the way on the Northbound carriageway side....rain all the way on the Southbound carriageway...dont worry that were going West/East

Temperature and DP increasing for weather stations SW of London around the surrey area, DP tipping above 0C already. So not expecting snow around here unfortunately.

It is beginning to look very marginal the further South you are right now. It is possible that the temps will drop in heavier precipitation, but not good signs. Temps in London seem to be levelling off now as well.

Meanwhile, the ppn in the Channel South of Cornwall is showing signs of heading in towards the South Coast, and looks to be converging with the band over SW Wales and Cornwall.
