Heavy, nr blizzard conditions up here in the hills, main roads still passable. If it doesn't thaw/change back to rain then will be an intersting journey home

Wet snow - could be classed as blizzard in Trafford but not sticking. How long will the mild uppers last, is it due to turn colder again later in the night, tomorrow? By then the northerly wishbone effect will distribute the showers to exposed coastal strips.

still snowing in Blackpool but temperature is creeping up from 3.3 to 3.7C.
