Haha, it's always the way. If it isn't for the East then nobody posts anything! The place to be Sunday / Monday is the North West, Midlands, North Wales and especially Yorkshire/Northern England. SE = Sleet/Rain. East = Sleet/Snow. rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

The band of precipitation over Northern Ireland should be with us by around midday

Ooh i can see it too on raintoday, its a big un!!!! Lol slow moving, not like the other day. I dont see why it cant be snow, the other day the temp here was a few degrees higher than it is now and we got wet snow, ok it didnt stick, plus it had the wind with it that didnt help, today theres barely a breeze and two degrees colder....

it is rather amusing to see dew points on the right side of marginal for us and way in the positive in the SE, after all the fights and ramping in the model threads. its all rather dynamic though and changes run to run so fingers crossed it stays good for us

Well aparently according to the Ireland regional thread they are reporting rain, especially at lower levels, so the band moving across must be rain. Its almost 4 degrees here now with singing birds lol

Yes the band coming over will be on generally rain before lower temperatures around 18:00 could turn the back edge to snow.

I am getting quite excited about this weekend (Sunday/Monday) as the snow potential is greater than them all this Winter. Could be a right dumping, especially places with higher altitude, Oldham to name a few. It's currently marginal at the coastal areas, although I believe it will snow there, with perhaps rain/sleet to start with. The usual Snake Pass / Woodhead pass = Closed. Monday Rush Hour could be a bad one to say the least.

This is the one.

Bit misleading this.

If you are 20 miles or so inland then perhaps a chance of some snow on Sunday/Monday but for those without height or the benefit of being further east then there is no upgrade. Same with today/tonight, again too much mild air in the mix for those nearer the coast, further east potentially there will again be a covering in the morning.

Snake pass and woodhead are always bad in winter!! Used to travel woodhead from Barnsley to here, play chicken in the fog! Lol...

Well im 15 mile inland from Southport so might be marginal here, plus it doesnt get as flat as Leyland lol, shouldnt have moved from Oldham!
