dry and cloudy, 7/8 Sc Ac with patchy St Cu beneath and a light NE'ly. snow late eve into the early hours gave a temporary covering less than 1cm now just isolated patches, low of 1.0C with a ground frost.

Moderate snow during yesterday evening became lighter by midnight but continued for the rest of the night, becoming intermittent and very light after 0700.

Currently cloudy with a few flakes of snow. Drifts up to 70cm deep on the tops.

No thawing at all today, the trees still thick with snow and ice above about 200m.

1deg here today most of overnight snow melted full snow cover around 200m drifts and bitter winds above 300m
