Booooooo. Woke up to the lightest dusting. It is still very very lightly snowing but not enough for me to get a snow day.

No Snow over night and in the end,after all the Snow we had yesterday,only a dusting. Must have warmed up last night,cars not so much ice on them and most of the Snow,that was on them,has now gone!

Oh dear failed again!!! Trying not to sound downbeat but yesterday Dartmoor was in a great position, 10-15cm with drifting, to wake up to not even a dusting is a tad disappointing.

I tried not to give the kids false hope yesterday but not looking forward to seeing their faces when they wake up.

I'd say roll on summer but I can't go out in the sun so this was my time of year. Oh well roll on Autumn!!!

Heavier pulse of snow south of the island looks to be inching nearer!!

There's a dusting of snow in Newton Poppleford! Though, the snow has mainly settled on the house roofs and the cars, not on the grass.

Morning all

The snow is already here in earnest. I was up from midnight till about 04:00 this morning and witnessed the rain turn to sleet and then to snow before I headed back to bed for a couple of hours. The latest Jersey Met radar is already showing pulses of heavier snow heading directly for us:

And my two littleuns are already up, both very happy and excited as schools are closed for the day. At present, the roads are fairly clear but as I type this, the snow is beginning to settle and get heavier. Keep an eye on our latest local news here:

Woken up to a covering and snow is falling, can't complain for the 11th of March!! Personally I'm pleased it didn't slip a tad more south because waking up with nothing would have been disappointing. I can understand those in parts of Devon bemoaning the lack snow but other than that everything looks to have been more or less as expected overnight with the track of the low and the associated front. That still leaves potential for more throughout the day with a possible wraparound of more intense PPN.
