Other half just got in,said the A289 bypass near us is starting to cover over and doesn`t look like the gritters have been out yet.

I don't think the gritters can do much with this snow if it still falling ...

Got 5cms now,shame its only little flakes,would love a few hours of 50ps,still snowing,is it due to get worse IMBY,I'm about 2 miles off the coast,between winchelsea and camber sands

Ideal location for this evening/night.

Look at the radar image of the snow in the channel. We are on the northern edge of this and are places well for 10 cm + by morning.

PS. You are just about to get pummeled !

I think I am about to give up. Obviously these showers are right wing oil burning showers that are against wind turbines.

On the other hand heavy snow will obviously fall around 8pm as I walk to bowling

Yep starting to feel this is it for Winter proper...looking at radar front wont get far enough North and trains seem wrong for us Londoners.......will give it until 5am tmw then take stock

Have a snow grain though somewhere if i look hard enough.

Not much in the way of snow today, apart from 2 or 3 very heavy, but short lived showers. The walk home from work was rather unpleasent though, -1 temperature, strong winds and moderate snow shower

It's the wind I can't get over, incredibly gusty. The trees making that whooshing sound. Lost a fair few branches today and part of our fruit tree. Not that it bore much fruit, thanks to squirrel friends.

i love driving in snow but driving between sandwich and deal was frightening, absolute whiteout with snow coming in off the channel, just couldnt see anything
