Still blizzard conditions in Wallasey plus my radar on WeatherPro app suggests this isn't going to let up for hours yet!

Is Hale up a mountain or something? Haha, you've got 4/5 inches and I've got a slight covering yet we're only like 5 miles apart, that's mental

Just been on the beer run for the football and the main roads are getting bad, not sure if they've been gritted today, perhaps due to all the surface water of melting snow it's been washed away?

But certainly coming down heavy albeit smallish flakes and really unpleasant with the strong wind driving the snow.

Accumulations building now on all surfaces and like I said including the major roads.

Same here in Liverpool. Ive just drove from north to south Liverpool and the roads are pretty bad now. Cant see the lines on most, even the main ones. Dont envy the gritters tonight!

No, i am just further inland than you, and I guess that's what makes the difference and I am not excactly at sea level either.

The back build is REALLY interesting me, look at how much energy is being injected as it's crossing Wales, that could turn out to be the holy grain of this whole event.

- 20.00 Friday - Heavy snow right now in Buxton - more than 14 cm (51/2 inches) on the ground - Any road reports please to [email protected] - - All high level routes are severely affected - currently reporting CLOSED are the A 537 Cat & Fiddle, the A54 Congleton, A57 Snake and the A53 Leek roads - ROAD REPORTS IN TODAY (newest first) "Just arrived back from Macclesfield. C and F completely impassable. Came home by A6 - nothing at Furness Vale. But white over on Chapel bypass. The A6 from Doles Holes to Buxton is virtually impassable with drifting and blinding blizzards . Some of the drifts are up to car door handles. Worst area between the turning for Peak Dale/Small Dale and Brook House corner just before Buxton. Cars getting stuck and there is a lorry stuck on both the Buxton bypass and Fairfield Road. Do not drive unless absolutely necessary - All Buxton roads are iced over" Thank you John Martin @ 19.40 AND Been out in Buxton in a 4 x 4 -Buxton main roads really bad now - Dale Road, Green Lane, Ashbourne Road - properly covered and more snow blowing onto them" Thank you Sue parkes @19.40 AND "Road between Biggin and Hartington impassable because of blown snow in drifts.
