Will there be colder uppers to follow them? Around 7.30pm it was 2.1c here, and snowing quite well. It is now 1.4c and raining.

No, they are gonna be pushing in from the northwest soon (the colder uppers) I think it's all moved a bit further north than forecast, but that means all the more to come back down again later tonight and tomorrow :-P

plus, you're in one of the lowest parts of the county next to the Avon, and the altitude is making a massive difference atm.

exactly, our dp keeps rising, 1.0 now! Everywhere is soaking wet with rain and the weather reports don't show much for us anyway. Not our time again I don't think.

Snow moderately here still but the temperature is bouncing around freezing, refuses to properly drop below. Keeping things wet outside, so still no snow settling on anything other than cars. And even cars it is melting as quick as it's falling.

However, looking down my drive onto the main road I can clearly see where cars have driven so also settling on roads too, I just really want enough for my 2 year old to have a play in the garden in tomorrow!

Looks absolutely foul outside, we have a slight covering of snow on the grass but there's an absolute downpour of sleet/icy rain. Awaiting those cold uppers to come down from the south and turn this into a lovely blizzard...

Hmm not even a covering here.Just exceptionally wet. Really need to get below freezing asap, NAE shows precipitation starting to weaken as we head into the early hours of the morning for our part of the region.

Yup doesn't help uppers are on the up slightly till around 9am. Only promise I can see is slowly but surely over the last hour things seem to be intensifying

Looks like this is turning into a non event for good old leicester , sleet at the moment and just wet .

Dew point here just dropped back down to -0.1C, temp continuing to fall and is at 0.5C currently. Hopefully this is a sign that the sleet should turn snowier over the next couple of hours

Its just frustrating that as colder temps arrive the heavier precip is due to receed from much of midlands and only remain for those far west and north.

I can't understand why you are saying this? Plenty of precipitation about at the moment and in the foreseeable future!

Looking at the radar, there really doesnt seem a great deal of anything to provide the next 24hrs of snow, or even the next 12hrs?? the odd blob of heavier stuff here and there, I must be missing something?

still light/moderate snow in a fierce wind, snow sticking on E facing fences now, feel it will be only mainly light all night into tomorrow
