That's it, folks..............no more snow. I've been trying to find this article for ages and have succeeded at last.

Note the date of the article, spiteful.gif (the date under the heading, not today's date!)

Bit of a easter lie in today. What woke me up was the heat of the sun shining through the velux window!!

if only this wind would take a hike .Looking out the window this morning,you would be forgiven for thinking it was the middle of july.

Shame that's not the reality.

Same here, How I wish I was in Cadgwith cove having a ploughmans at the inn,then in the afternoon a walk down to Mullion Cove, Spent many a happy holiday at both locations, My late father in law wouldnt go any where else than Cornwall,he always referred to it as gods country,Hoping to return soon If health and finances prevail.

Hi Kent, your description of your late father in law matches my feelings exactly! In fact we feel so at home in Cornwall we are going to live there next year :) I have spent 44 years in beautiful Dorset and I can't complain too much about the weather here it does do us proud, eventually! However I long to be near the rugged coast of North Cornwall, come rain, snow (or no snow) floods and sunshine!

From Ian;

"Change to milder, unsettled weather Mon-Tues well-set now; thereafter a steady rise in temps for SW areas. Potentially warm later in month."

Just the mention of the word warm - is making me feel warm.

I want to turn the heating off, go out in shorts, open the windows, sit out in the garden.

Warm weather can't come soon enough for me.

One step forwards, two steps backwards! It's fricking freezing today, that wind is dragging the temp right down.

Limited sunshine and 4.3°C

Today is far sunnier than I expected it to be given the forecast for low cloud from the East. Such cloud was present at dawn, although it was broken, and I expected it to stay similar if not cloudier all day. However I guess now we're in April the sun is strong enough to burn it off and all we have are small Cumulus moving quickly on the ever present Easterly!

One final snow flurry over Southern Central areas to see out this lingering cold period;

Before the milder and wetter weather approaches through the weekend.

Wouldn't it be odd if those flurries turned into something more substantial....13 years ago tomorrow we on the Mendip's were caught out big time by un-forecast snow. It's a day I'll never forget, I was moving house and trying to get big removal lorries around these lanes was a nightmare!

There's certainly plenty on the radar which has nearly reached as far West as Basingstoke, whether it's all reaching the ground is another matter but regardless it will be blowing around in the wind.
