I know, I was watch mike phelps, he was to close in my opnion, just outside the circulation if not slightly in it, and people just drove straight passed him, into the tornado, so sad.

 

Unfortunately your average 'joe' isn't able to recognise the tell-tale signs of a mesocyclonic outflow so will just assume that what he/she is driving into is simply storm related SLWs. Another good reason why local-radio is vital in these conditions in being able to pinpoint the CCL within a mile or two of the local roads.

It sounds as if Randy had chest pains so Ben took him to hospital. I am not sure who Reed pulled out of the car other than it was a chaser.
