Hopefully not at 4 in the morning again though - I could do with some sleep. Late evening would be okay.

I'll take it whenever I can get it! Although evening time would be perfect.Posted Image

Something brewing near here...sky growing dark out to sea with developing precip on radar.

No thunder heard though.

Been watching these storms on the extra radar, so slow moving.

These are just convection formed through today remember, the main band isn't here yet.

In any case I'm not convinced by this fresher weather prediction, I get a weird feeling that we may have even more chances at storms through the week.

Im one of the lucky notts folk, there appears to be more cells trying to pop up behind the main storm. I have a pic if its any use.

Good luck!

Skies brightening sun trying to come out. The remains of the storm are heading towards the eastern side of Sheffield. Storm shredded almost completely here can't see surviving much longer.

Oh for goodness sakes - why can't these stupid showers just retain their integrity for just a few miles instead of crumbling and splitting. No doubt the heavier part of that Derbs storm will slide east of here as per frickin' usual.

Seems to be restrengthening to the south of Chesterfield, maybe hope is not lost. Infrequent thunder from the storm approaching worksop

That storm around Nottingham is going to be huge I feel. I didn't see much lightning but staggering rainfall and low level clouds being sucked into it so quickly.

To my untrained eye it had some supercell characteristics.

No sferics yet on that one; might pep up after landfall, almost certainly going to make that treacherous channel journey, now. It's heading for Medway Towns / SE London, so am hoping, at least, for a bit of rain to help cool down.

T = 25.6 oC with Td = 18 oC. Very very uncomfortable.

Just enjoyed comedy rain for about 35 minutes in Nottingham. Constant torrential downpour, occasional close lightning and thunder.

WH1080 weather station rain reading was ticking up as I watched. About 40 mm in that time, and that's an under-measurement as a lot of rain splashes out again when it's very heavy. Most impressive!
