Raining lightly here now in south Bucks. Question to any forecasters/pro's here: Where are these thunderstorms on the Eastern edge of this MCS heading? Are they curving round and moving north-westerly or are they moving plain north-easterly and away from Britain?

My view of the radar ATM is that the MCS is heading North East up through the Pas de Calais

Lightning now visible and thunder increasing in volume. Appears to be a band of mammatus? cloud ahead of the front. Seems to be headed this way unfortunately :/

Mostly IC from what I can see (some bolts have been very low and quite overhead)...thunder has that positive element to it (the loud base heavy booms).Lush!!!!!!

Just saw a proper fork of lightning (CtoC) appeared 'beaded' for a second...nice booming bass of thunder - quite close. Not much visible lightning from this - if it was nighttime then it would be more exciting

First CG I've observed....about half a mile away - again, very positive-esque with the thunder!!! Seems very elevated ATM - sky very very eerie!!!

Feels "stormy", and plenty of ground heating today but nothing on the cards up here for tonight I think. Wonder what it will actually take for us to get some action!!!

Wasn't expecting any thunder here but was expecting at least a good soaking......Sat in a lovely dry sport courtesy of the surrey hills...no rain at all so far.

Just a huge blob of green across entire Central England. Never seen anything like it.

It was yellow too over much of Manchester/Leeds/Sheffield/York. Not seen a forecast like that before on BBC.

Quick!!  Everybody find victor.. you should get a good lightning display!!

Lol! hope he's not as unlucky as whatever got hit by the single surprise CG here earlier! (I'm wondering if there is a slight chance it was a positive bolt with it's brightness and explosive thunder)
