A grey start but now turned into a lovely clear day with bright sunshine

Variable cloud overnight, drying out. The day dawned partly cloudy with fog forming, visibility quickly reducing to <100 yards. The fog cleared away before observation with a few bright and sunny spells developing.

Another cloudy and wet night with intermittent light rain before midnight and again through the early hours when it turned moderate at times. The morning so far has been overcast with continuous light to moderate rain. The morning and in to the afternoon saw the rain turning showery, these were moderate at times. By the middle of the afternoon there were a few bright and sunny spells, though with showers still scattered around. Cool for October.

Rugby/ Coventry report

Rain at times during Monday, some heavy bursts to mid afternoon, very cool

 

Long Lawford Rain Sun 13th: 14.4mm

Church lawford readings:

Coventry note: Much wetter over the city during the 3 days we were away with over 50mm falling, while Rugby had less than 35mm. The max on Monday just 10.0c in Coventry.

 

Meanwhile back home on Monday:

 

Clear spells overnight. Showers 07- 0900, cloud to 1100, then cloud and sunny intervals, light showers 17 - 1800.  Cool with a moderate NNW breeze.
