    A cold night with a bright white frost, low was -1.2c at 11.30pm. Currently clear sunny and 1.4c

    Sunday 10th November 2013:

     

    Clear spells last night, turning cloudy for a time towards midnight with a little light rain. Clearing again through the early hours allowing the temperature to fall to 0.4c with -4.1c on the grass producing a widespread ground frost. Sunny to observation, frost on ground.

     

    Readings at 09:00 GMT:

     

    Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday: 6.6°C

    Minimum temperature overnight 0.4°C

    24-hour maximum 6.6°C

    24-hour minimum: 0.4°C

    Minimum temperature on grass: -4.1°C

    Maximum wind gust: (Midnight to Midnight) 14.8 mph W

    Rainfall total: tr.m

    Clear spells overnight, low 1.0c with -2.5c on the grass with a widespread ground frost. Clouding over around dawn. At observation, overcast, ground frost melting. Cloud persisted through the morning, though staying dry here. The afternoon saw brighter and sunny spells developing, feeling cooler than of late.

    Down to -1.1c overnight a cold bright start ,would have had to scrape the ice this morning,if I had not stayed in bed to watch match of the day

    3.9c here now with a breeze picking up

    Mainly cloudy until after midnight with a few light showers. It became clear during the early hours but the wind increased to f4-5 W/NW, so preventing an air frost. Still a few bits of hail lying in the grass from the shower late yesterday afternoon.

    Dry and sunny so far this morning.

    24 hr max; 6.1c

    24 hr min; 1.5c

    Grass min; -1.9c

    Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0900; 3.5 mm

    Nice satellite images at the moment, the UK stands out pretty well with some snow visible on mountains of the north: http://www.sat24.com/

     

    Temp dropped to 2.7c at home last night (though not the coldest this Autumn), and probably about 3c up here. 

    Now a very nice Autumns day with the temperature around 8c, and up to 10c back in Devon.

    A gorgeous late Autumn day here. Max of 7.0 C. Frosty morning with a min of -0.2C. Nice Autumn colours up towards Perthshire and Angus with the snowcapped Mountains in the background. Frosty again now at 1C and falling.

    Cold and clear throughout. For the first time in quite a while we managed the maximum amount of sunshine possible during the day, in this case 8.8hrs. A ground frost this morning too, but still waiting for the first air frost.

    Mean Wind: 6mph W

    Max Gust: 14mph

    Rainfall: 0.2mm (dew)

    Sunshine: 8.8hrs

     

    Currently clear and cold with a temp of 2.8C. Already a ground frost so perhaps an air frost tonight if the cloud doesn't arrive too quickly.

    Currently 3.5c here with a maximum today of 9.

     

    Lowest temp here this autumn was 3.2c a few nights ago, so we should beat that tonight!
