Clear spells for a short while last night, allowing a touch of ground frost before turning mostly cloudy and mild, windy again through the early hours. At observation, mostly cloudy, breezy, mild. There was a spell of showery rain though the morning, briefly heavy with hail. By afternoon the showers cleared to somewhat brighter conditions and the wind also died down.

After a clear start to last night it clouded over by late evening and there were a few light showers.

Cloud thickened generally towards morning and, after a dry start, it 's been wet and windy since about 0915 with a maximum gust of 60 mph earlier this morning. Any early hill fog cleared by 0930.

agreed, the drive back from Sheffield mid afternoon was dark, thick drizzle, poor visibility and 8C. Some sunshine would be nice whatever the temperature.
