6 C here and so i'm not even bothering to look outside, what's the point. Could be some falling snow later though, although all the showers will know doubt miss me again. I'm guessing the snow reports further south are because the temps were aloud to fall further overnight there.

Snow here at 210m asl. Roads have been gritted including the cul-de-sac's for once so it's mainly sticking to the fields, gardens, rooftops, and cars in these parts but so far have managed to get just shy of 3cm out of this. Can't compain however as at 7am it was nothing but rain.

Cat and Fiddle a few miles down the road getting a good covering, aswell as roads now being affected in/around Buxton.

Its probably because the Midlands situated in the center of the landmass its like you sticking a thermolator in the center of the food whether that food raw or not.

Midlands tends to be colder due to that.

Warm Sector = Oven and Landmass = Food.

Yes, indeed, that would have helped temps to fall there overnight.

Temp now beginning to fall again here as colder air digs in.

Yep, a shield is an understatement. I have hope

for this afternoon and this evening though, as long as we can actually get some showers going.

Down at Lyme Park my brother saying it's just sleet with nothing even bothering to stick, goes to show what those extra few tens/hundreds of feet difference it makes.

Saw alot of blue skies at the west of me. The weather system gone passed here. It feels alot colder now, as were entering a polar maritime air mass.

Quite a clearance coming in behind this lot, to think we're now just 24hr away from facing a minor storm bringing yet more swathes of rain and 90mph gusts for this part of the world. Having all seasons in 'one day' comes to mind.
