Summer starts next week, apparently. Is it ever going to stop raining? Yet it is lovely in the West.

Not for a good while I hope - it only started last night!!

It's not that nice in the west Jo. It's drizzling here in Manchester and it's freezing.

Well it is today, but it was quite nice yesterday after a slightly damp start, much better than forecast anyway. So we have one wet day midweek to get out of the way before a nice looking weekend. A win all round if you ask me: a bit of rain to water the gardens when it's least annoying and nice when most people have the time off to enjoy it.

Should be an improving picture during tomorrow and certainly from Friday with a drier and for some brighter end to the week (still the odd isolate heavy shower) and with the strong sunshine now it would feel quite pleasant

Hopefully some dry weather Friday-Sunday for many of us Jo ,although chance of a few showers can't be entirely dismissed i suppose.

It does look a much better prospect for the end of the week though as the Azores High ridges in,however it does look like a downhill trend to rain again early next week.

Hope this coming weekend proves drier, I only get one day off this weekend and hope to get a car boot in.
