Please continue the discussion here. As ever, some of topic chat / banter etc is fine, but please try to keep a weathery theme running through the thread :)

Back to the grotty cloudy vileness today, but hopeful of some decent breaks in the cloud, satellite not looking too bad. Currently 15C and a fresh NE breeze.

    Morning all,

As Paul has said, a little off topic-ness is fine in moderation, just as long as there this some weather related on-topic-ness included as well, so pretty much how these threads have been ticking along.  All are welcome to post here, it's always been a friendly welcoming thread on the whole.  Please PM me if there are any issues of concern.

As for the weather, walked to work in fine drizzle this morning but it does seem the grey clouds are starting to break up and I have had my first glimpse of the sun (all be it very brief!)

    Have a good day

    SR :)

Up to 21.2c here this afternoon once the sun finally emerged. Horrible drizzle this morning though on my way in to work. Yuk.

Same here really. Some decent sunny spells now and just some fair weather cloud. Weather still looks dry for the time being (apart from pesky drizzle).

I woke up to a bit sun, a bit of cloud ,a bit of a breeze. Warmed up during the day but the breeze dropped enough so we couldn't go out and fly little one's Winnie the Pooh kite as promised. :nea:

All the cloud gone and making for a clear night.

    Borrriiinnnggg weather is boring. :lazy:

I seem to have Scotland's weather - could someone please PLEASE collect it, it's cold and miserable and I'm fed up with it. June in Norfolk is always rubbish, I ought to used to it by now *sigh*

They are having a heat wave, it was up to 27c in some places and as you say, we are having what they usually have, cool, cloudy drizzlely nonsense, although London hasn't done too badly!

    Morning all,

Lovely day out there so far this morning - hope the sunshine sticks around as it really brightens the old mood.  That, coupled with buying a new car (well, a new car to me) and it being my 10 year wedding anniversay today, I am quite a happy old bunny.

I love the pictures Leigh, we usually take the river cruise up London if we ever fancy a day out in London.  It makes a nice change for me as although I work in London I get the train 5 days a week and that journey is so boring and monotonous :lazy:

Just had a short, sharp downpour which wasn't forecast or on the radar.

How does that happen? Heavy rain, but no radar trace?

How odd, made a post here a short while back, and it seems to have gone :cc_confused:

Been a dry and warmish days (just in the t-shirt realm still) but mainly dull with only a few sunny spots an hour ago.

Your post went the same way as the sunshine today! Cloudy but quite humid, 17.9c, no sign of the sun returning!

It is cooler but still quite mild here, think I just notice it more as recent days have been mild, mayhap the closer you are east the cooler it feels?

The temp definitely took a drop last night after such a warm day. Had to put a blanket over me.

It feels like a really good thunder storm is needed to clear the air and freshen things up. I hate London air when it gets like this.

Hi Tadpole! Looks like we are stuck with what we have got for a while longer! Increasing amounts of sunshine are forecast! The garden can do with some rain though!
