I took this picture in December, just a few weeks before the pit was demolished entirely with 800 jobs going the same way. 

A sad scene, seeing the main industry in the area vanish, leaving shattered communities all over our area, that never really did well after the last bout of pit closures.

 

Anyway, I took rather a few of the sky that day, because there was a 'dog sun' in the sky and a storm coming in..

 

What do you guys think?
