How far east and north could all this possibly extend over night, by the looks of it I am wondering if it would stretch as far as southern midlands. Maybe as far as Northants, beds, bucks?

Can we keep on topic please and not discuss people's holidays?

Looking at the radar something is developing towards Bridport/Weymouth

i love extreme weather as well.

perhaps i'm being niave but as we live in a very wet climate the last thing i look for in summer is storms.  if they come along then thats great but i love weeks of no rain in summer. I love seasonal weather.

personally, and this is not knocking others i just don't like heavy rain in summer if i can help it when we get enough in winter.

however, if it rains, it rains and we can't do a lot about anything we get and it does amaze me when people say 'storm shield' as if the weather hates them.  it is waht it is.  we all enjoy different aspects i suppose.

enjoy your storms everyone.

I don't like heavy rain in summer either but if it is accompanied by thunder and lightening, great! makes it more interesting. All of NW members enjoy different aspects that's what makes the 'debates' interesting

Thanks for the information AWD but I got just over 5hrs before I got to get up again and cant really stay up much longer waiting to see if something happens.

If I get woke up by a storm then great but for now need zzzzzzz's

Just to add its now raining.

Ah, living vicariously through the SW radar at the moment, 22c here at the moment, interestingly the breeze has really picked up the last 30 min or so.. Channel looks pretty lively, wonder if we'll grab a cheeky lightshow a bit later...

As expected, the shear is helping things kick off over that general area, it does move north in Central Southern England during the early hours so it might help to stay up...

It was 23.7C at 10pm so definitely feeling hot and sticky!

At the moment here in Worcester my weather station has an outside temperature of 22.6c, humidity is rocketing up and now at 74% but the inside temperature is 28.1c, not good to have an attic conversion im thinking lol The skies are still quite clear here at the moment with a breeze that's starting to pick up.

Just had an intense but brief 'chubby rain' spell. Very warm here still, 22 degrees at least. Seems the current outlook will miss us but we shall see what develops. X

Just catching up on the day's (week's?) activities. Radar looking interesting, can't rule out a Portsdown visit especially as no work tomorrow.

Popped outside just to cool down, muggy is not the word. Sweaty is the word.

If a Mod deletes a post, ie: one of mine can they at least send a message explaining why?

Probably off topic, they are perhaps too busy to message everyone individually.
