    Bertha pushing through a big quicker than expected. So the heavy rain easing here rather than midday but I expect some heavier bursts

    Still it pushed rainfall totals to 13.6mm in a relatively short time.

    Cool cloudy and very wet with 23mm of rain falling in the last 12 hours.Winds starting to freshen from the south,with the cloud now breaking and sunny spells developing.

    A wet day but nothing remarkable as far as stormy weather goes. Heavy rain in the morning soon faded away after one leaving a dry afternoon until just after three when another briefly heavy shower passed through. Now cloudy with a fresh breeze

    A few bright spells this morning early on before the heavy rain arrived. There were two distinct spells of almost torrential rain just after midday and 2pm, the second of which provided quite a bit of thundery activity.  Its currently dry with bright spells, but showers are approaching from the west which may help to give us the wettest day since 25th June 2007 (10.5mm more required).

    Heavy rain at first this morning, becoming intermittent by about 1000 g.m.t. A few bright intervals around midday followed by further moderate showery outbreaks of rain. A clearance arrived from the west after this but there was one more short heavy shower around1500 g.m.t followed by sunny intervals and a rapid increase in wind strength.

    Spells of rain, heavy and thundery at times, finally clearing mid-morning.  Squally showers around lunchtime then dry and windy with sunny intervals in the afternoon.  Maximum 22,5, minimum 12.9.  Wind fresh SW.

    Little rain at times last night, moderate SE breeze.

    Torrential rain 0545 to 0620 gave 11mm in half hour or so, then a cloudy morning some further showery rain at times, some heavy, several rumbles of thunder 0951 to 1103. Sunny spells and a few brief showers afternoon. Very heavy squally shower 1920. Fresh west to SW wind pm. Cool.
