The GFS 18Z is epic in the latter stages, long draw Ely.

Sorry can't post chart as on phone.

Edit: as Daniels post above.

Been very gusty since the rain started, but now it really seems to be going for it.

It's really picked up here in brighton too. Its constant but every now and then there is the mother of all gusts. I'm relatively sheltered here too

The wind has definitely picked up now, tried to open my wind then BAM! a very strong gust of winds just shut it right in front of me.

It's pretty gusty here in Walderslade, whipping through the trees. And pouring hard.

It's been raining here so lightly here for hours now, not even got anything registered on the vue yet lol, I think we've had a few gusts of 40/45mph so far, that's about it!

Rather gusty here, sustained winds I would put in the low twenties (MPH) at a guess.  Not had any heavy rain just constant light rain so far.

The back edge has only just reached Wales, could be a couple of hours yet for us if not longer till the worst is over.

Pretty windy out there, though seemed worse about an hour ago - Being on the third floor you really do get a draft coming in, my feet are frozen!

Look East forecast for tonight into tomorrow morning suggested the winds would be no worse than they were last weekend.

I saw the presenter make that comment. One that could leave egg on face, I thought, especially if a pronounced squall develops. I'm unsure of her credentials however. Is she just a presenter, or does she have more knowledge?

No idea to be honest, I suspect a presenter.

Just started to get a little gusty here but nothing exceptional, it hasn't even set my door knocker off yet, so gusts must be under 30mph. It has been raining for a while though.

Squall line has developed stretching over 300 miles wide - rather impressive but will be nasty.

Yeah I have had nothing of note yet either, when it gets windy the hob extractor starts creaking like you are on a ship in high seas. Its not even creaking yet.
