    Another cold day, this time with a short flurry of wet snow early morning, although this soon turned to rain.  Overcast most of the day with patchy light rain; this eventually cleared from the east mid-afternoon. Maximum 3.8, minimum 0.7. Wind light N.

    An overcast day with light snow flurries at first, merging into continuous light, wet snow for a time before turning to sleet by late morning. The sleet continued until mid-afternoon then died out from the east.

    • Wet March so far with more rain for the rest of the month, but hints of more settled weather early April

      It's been a wet March for much of the UK, with well above average rainfall, though the Northern & Western Isles have been drier than average.
