So then, from current charts does Weymouth look anywhere near or am I sitting on the fence missing it all again whilst both sides get nailed?

I would be totally open minded. As Ian F said, it's a lottery and things could easily pop up from France, further East.

Am a bit confused. Yesterday the BBC graphics showed big storms coming out of northern France tomorrow evening overnight and spreading north. Tonight the graphics only showing these storms forming 20/30 miles inland from the south coast then speaking north. Am I to assume that no storms for the coast tomorrow night?

Most probably, but then everything could shift your way. I've had a bit of T&L so won't be too gutted if I don't see anything tomorrow. I'd be more happy if storm starved got something tomorrow.

The 3KM NMM shows storms maturing around Bristol/West Midlands and then moving in to the East Midlands/Parts of East Anglia during Saturday morning.

Bit like what the bbc graphics were showing . Random scattered showers becoming more organised and intensifying as they reach further north. I reckon showers/storms will be fairly weak this far south.

Really? I see them dying out as they reach Bristol with major development over Ireland?

I'm only relaying exactly what the NMM3 shows. I'm not allowed to post these charts from my source, unfortunately

The first cell produced a lot of anvil crawlers with faint thunder, the second cell produced more c-g lightning.

Makes you wonder if a night storm is better looking from the outside than the inside?

wow that's amazing, normally down here in Exeter we seem to get lots of low cloud, I'd love to see an anvil from a distance like this, thanks for sharing hopefully we may get a storm down here tommorow eve

Interesting graphic from UKMO regarding tomorrow night / Saturday morning, Plenty of cape for it to drift into

They are also now showing potential on Sunday afternoon

The West Midlands always seems to miss storms though.

Wow the Netherlands is absolutely on fire right now. 300-400 strikes per minute around Nijmegan and Arnhem, crazy. Must be supercells.
