Forecaster: BEYER

Along the convergence line associated with the southward moving cold front a landspout related to a shower has been observed near Antwerpen.

Wind vectors in that region show a sharp turn from SW to N. Forecast soundings of LAM indicate a nice clockwise curvature of wind vectors in the lowest kilometer.

Thus, with similar conditions, further landspouts are possible along the convergence zone, also to the east into Germany. The polygon indicates the region with highest dewpoint. Further east the convergence is still present but LL are too try (much lower dewpoints).

The cold front and thus the landspout risk will move further south during the forecast period

Something I forgot to mention - about 20% of the times Insecam usually gets the location of the camera wrong so what Insecam says the camera is located in could probably be somewhere else!

99% sure that the Frankfurt and Zurich cams are in the right location.

99% sure that the Frankfurt and Zurich cams are in the right location.

Thinking of that,this cam looks a bit close to the cell and Zurich's miles away

Haha you're probably right actually, the last time I checked the Zurich cam was twenty minutes ago and all I saw was an anvil to the left!

It looks to be somewhere in Bern.

I don't know though,what about overshooting tops or top of the anvil they can be miles long/wide,it looks deceiving thinking that the storm is close but it ain't.

if you look at the sat animation you can see the anvil tip just about reaching Zurich.

The one I am interested in is the one possibly heading toward Besancon the shape of the lightning looks very interesting to me re supercell potential

That's what i always use as well as lightningmaps.org for triangulation,i have them both on the go all the time because one doesn't show a lightning strike but the other does visa versa.

Hahahaha Insecam is a right mess at the moment. I'm not too sure now either! If you click on the webcam below which is in Zurich and you steer it 360 degrees you can see almost the exact same thing.
