Cheers for that.  I read on here that the record was London.  But looks clear that the record was nowhere near being broken.

Thanks,

Here's the met office link to the UK extremes, highest minimum included :)

Well a fine summer day here again, temperatures back down to 24C, but still very pleasant with sunny spells and a mix of patchy fair weather and high level cloud.

Not so sure its a fine summers day.
Been bright and often cloudy.

Topping at 22/25c ish and very little wind and those dam westerly ish winds.

So the air feels heavy and horrible.

Best part of the day was this morning where it actually felt cool ish, house was still roasting.

Very dry month so far. Only had 6.7mm here. Quite a change after June. High of 24.5C today so still pleasantly warm.

Looks pretty good for the coming weekend, 25-28C widely on both days, with light winds and good spells of sunshine we should be set for a cracking weekend. Just a slight chance of a couple of heavy showers, though these will be isolated.

Been over cast most of the day but still warm at 24c. It did start to feel muggy this evening and we had a few spots of rain.

Current temperature is 19c.

Think we may have something of interest tomorrow afternoon from the looks of it on connective weather.co.uk

Feels muggy out here already.

Whenever the BBC says it is going to get fresher, always add on another five days of heat/humidity for the SE. So it was supposed to be nice and cool by Thursday and this hasn't happened, so expect the cool down on Tuesday instead.:good:

Wonder how much rain fell last night? Woke up and heard it falling. Cloudy first thing this morning but sun out now, looks like could be quite a nice day if the forecast showers dodge this area.

If you can imagine Jabba the Hutt make out of meringue, that's what I can see out of the window right now (to my south).

(Remind me to learn properly how to put photographs on NW forums, it's failed the past few times)

Edit: to my west now also - going straight up like  rocket.

headed out to a welcomed coolness ahhhh lovely. It's just about on the edge of me needing a light cardie. Really hoping will get something today but doubtful, anything from the west doesn't happen here.

But in the event of nothing hubs has gone out to get Bacon.

Is that an active cell just passed over Billingshurst or a radar glitch. If it's a cell it looks potent and extremely photogenic!

Skies looked convective earlier but just a grey blanket now, dreary. At least it isn't cold.

Despite only a couple of hours of sunshine, the temperatures have still reached the same high of 24C as yesterday. It has turned into a grey-fest again though as clearly we can't break the convective cap today.

just started to rain in central London after being overcast for most of this afternoon.  Still very warm and muggy though.  Not sure we will get the torrential thunderstorms they forecasted though as the sky doesn't look that threatening right now.

If it can't be warm & sunny then I'll take warm & cloudy as the next best thing.

Love the humid/muggy feel. Feels summery even if it is cloudy.

Happy those forecasted showers never materialised either. Just another excuse to cook dinner on the BBQ this evening.

Morning Gang! :D

DSC_0025.JPG

Here we go again..29c today and 28c for my part of the woods according to the met for the weekend! :yahoo:

Next week looks dry, warm and sunny spells, temps not as high maybe 22-25c very pleasant in any sun!

Ignore the doom posters in the mod thread, some people hate others enjoying something, especially as most are men, I have come to the conclusion, they are not getting anything from the Mrs and taking it out on here.. (lol)

Well a glorious start to the day with clear skies, the temperatures indeed look very warm for our region today.

viewimage.pbx?type=nmmlo;date=20160723;t

26-28C widely, cooler near the coast as an onshore breeze potentially develops during the afternoon. Sunday doesn't look as warm/hot mainly as we will see cloud move in from the west, but if this stays away long enough then we could see 27/28C potentially.

viewimage.pbx?type=nmmlo;date=20160723;t

Enjoy, next week looks a bit meh, but nothing particularly awful with near normal temperatures and a little rain at times mixed with some sunnier spells.
