    Affecting: Whole of the UK.

    Date Valid For: 22:30 Wednesday 11th August - 23:59 Friday 13th August 2004

    Time Of Issue: 22.30 Wednesday 11th August 2004.

    A depression is expected to slowly move across the UK over the next few days, bringing further spells of heavy rain follwed by thundery showers.

    A band of heavy rain will move north across England and Wales tonight (Wednesday) with localised heavy and thundery downpours, giving the risk of flooding. This area of rain is expected to become very slow moving over Northern England and Central and Southern Scotland during Thursday and Friday, further increasing the risk of flooding in these areas already affected by flooding.

    Heavy, thundery showers will follow this rain band into much of Central and Southern England and Wales with the risk of hail and localised downpours giving flash flooding and appalling driving conditions.
