Emley Moor is 5C, not that far from here but around 300m asl compared to 85m here. 

I think the inversion must be around 200m for these parts.

A sunny day less cold than of late. Surprised too see the Boating lake in Graves park partially frozen a sit hasn't been that cold. Car thermometer showing again how unreliable they are coming out with 7.5C an hour ago

Thick fog until 2200 yesterday. The fog then receded into the valleys and the rest of the night was dry, clear and breezy. Sunny and almost cloudless today but with fog patches persisting all day in the local valleys.

A cool sunny day frost remaining in the shade despite the air temperature getting to 6C plus

The question is will the inversion happen again tonight.

A sunny and almost cloudless day. Fog spread up from the valleys during the late afternoon and the temperature temporarily dipped below 0c around 1645 before rising a couple of degrees an hour later when the fog cleared again.
