I mentioned this yesterday in the regional thread but the thermometer used at Manchester Airport must be faulty surely?

http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/weather/maps/current?ART=karte&TYP=wetter&LANG=en&UP=0&WMO=03334&CONT=ukuk&NOREGION=0&CEL=C&TIME=std&LEVEL=140&R=310

Isn't it one of the stations used to calculate the CET?

A low last night of +4C apparently despite frost everywhere else in the city. Was a similar situation yesterday and I've also noticed similar on other occasions this winter.

Cold and murky with fog persisting much of the day. The pavements were particularly treacherous this morning (I fell over myself on the way to the office, fortunately uninjured) and only thawed slowly. Maximum 4.7, minimum -0.8. Wind light SE.
